About The Author
Jannie Tharp was born in the Deep South, spent many years growing up in the West, and finally settled in the great Northwest.
She enjoys country life on a Century Farm surrounded by beautiful wineries. Her home is land-marked with interesting yard art including a car in a tree, which has been featured in several publications.
Inspiration for the Clausen Family Countdown to Christmas came from the desire to memorialize Jannie’s beloved mother, and to create a new holiday tradition for her family and others to enjoy.
Jannie’s sister, Valerie Lindsay, illustrated the books and was also instrumental in creating the idea for the advent set of books.
